This product allows you to buy gift cards based on the value selected above and then provide the gift card details (value and redemption code) to the person you want to gift the card to.
This is normally carried out by forwarding the email that you receive after the purchase of the gift card to the receiver, but you can also print the gift card details by clicking on the link in the email called 'view gift card balance' and then using the 'Print Gift Card' button.
Here's how the gift card redemption process works end-to-end:
When you buy a gift card product:
- After purchase, you will receive an email containing a unique gift card code (and a link to the gift card page on our website where you can check the balance).
Redeeming online at checkout:
- The recipient enters the unique code in the gift card field at checkout (codes are not case-sensitive).
- If the gift card covers the full order total → click Complete order.
- If the gift card balance is less than the order total → they will be prompted to add another payment method for the remainder (including adding another gift card).
Terms and Conditions and Helpful Information
- The balance can be spread across multiple orders until it's used up.
- Gift cards can be combined with discount codes.
- Multiple gift cards can be used on a single order.
- Gift cards can be used on the initial delivery of a subscription order, but cannot be set as the recurring payment method — the customer must add an eligible payment method for future subscription billing.
- A gift card cannot be used to purchase another gift card.
- Gift cards are purchased in GBP and can be redeemed in any currency via automatic conversion.
Checking balance:
- Customers can check their balance by clicking the link in their gift card email, which takes them to the gift card page on our website.
